Welcome to Hotel Alberto
Meet the hotel we are going to set up, and see how the guide works.
Alberto Ferrero runs a small hotel in a restored Liberty palazzo at Via Monferrato 12, in the Borgo Po district of Torino, a short walk across the river from Piazza Vittorio. Until now he has kept bookings in a notebook and a spreadsheet. He wants one place for his rooms, prices, guests and invoices, and a website where guests can book directly.
The hotel is fictional, but everything in this guide was done on a real Hoteliera account, and every clip is a recording of the real screens.

The hotel
- 4 Double rooms, numbered 101 to 104, about 16 m², for 2 adults.
- 2 Triple rooms, numbered 201 and 202, about 22 m², a double bed plus a single bed.
- Breakfast is served in a small breakfast room, so guests can book with or without it.
- Prices are in euro. Italy charges VAT and Torino adds a city tax per person per night.
- Three people work there: Alberto (the owner), Giulia at reception and Marco in housekeeping.

How to use this guide
Each chapter follows the same pattern:
- Why it matters: a few lines on what the setting is and why the hotel needs it.
- Hands-on: numbered steps with the labels exactly as they appear on screen, plus a short clip of the clicks.
- See the effect: a second clip that shows where the setting changed something, such as the planner, the booking website or the invoice.
- Recap: two or three lines to remember.
The clips loop without sound. They are short, so let them play once or twice before you try the steps yourself.
