Closing a room

Room 103’s bathroom needs three days of work at the end of November. Until it’s fixed, nobody should be able to book it, but the other Doubles must keep selling. Marking the room out of order for those nights takes it out of the count, so the planner, the booking website and any connected channels all see one Double fewer.

Hands-on

1. In the Planner, go to the dates (here 30 November).
2. On room 103, click the first night, then the day the room is ready again (3 December).
3. Choose Mark as out-of-order.
4. Write a Note: Bathroom maintenance.
5. Click Mark as out-of-order. A grey Out of order bar covers the nights, and the Double count above drops from 4 to 3.

Need the room for an event but don’t want it sold? Make a normal reservation from the admin instead; out-of-order rooms can’t host guests.

See the effect

On the booking website, for 30 November to 2 December, the Double shows 3 Available rooms instead of 4.
